La Furia Roja are going into their final match of Group D against Croatia with a large advantage.

In Spain’s most recent match against Turkey where they won 3-0, la Furia Roja put on a display for the entire European competition. Vicente Del Bosque went into the match against Turkey giving his confidence in both Alvaro Morata and Nolito to start the match. Morata and Nolito both gave Del Bosque a fantastic return for his confidence. Espana’s performance has them on track for the easy road to the Euro 2016 final in first place.

Morata scored the opening goal of the match inside 34 minutes but the assist to the first goal came from Nolito. Nolito who helped create the first goal then went on to net the second goal in the 37th minute for Del Bosque. Spain went into the halftime interval with a 2-0 lead, both goals coming from two of their three forwards. Morata and Nolito both faced enormous scrutiny after Spain’s first match in the Group stage despite it being a narrow 1-0 victory for La Furia Roja.

The narrow victory against the Czech Republic and the great display against Turkey has Spain on a good course for the “threepeat.” Spain will play Croatia on Tuesday in the final match of the group stage for Group D. Spain is in command of Group D in first place with all six possible points so far. Croatia on the other hand sits in second place with four points and will certainly advance to the next round as the second place team in Group D.

The Croats will more than settle for second place in the group as long as they advance to the knockout rounds and a draw will do precisely that. Del Bosque’s side has been the only team to show a brilliant display against an opponent in the competition. Spain’s 3-0 victory over Turkey also shows a sign of la Furia Roja’s strength in depth and strength in resilience.

Spain’s most recent matches show that Vicente Del Bosque’s side can win any match that they have to play in. In the match against the Czech Republic,  the Czechs were super content with sitting back with hopes of sharing the point with Spain. Gerard Pique’s last minute header to seal the victory for Spain is evidence that the Spanish can even grind out the result. The 3-0 victory against Turkey is also proof they can also score multiple goals against an opponent.

The next match against Croatia may in fact be a potential intermission since both sides will be content with a draw since they will both advance to the next round if a draw is the outcome.

The match after the group also could be another addition to the intermission since the winner of Group D plays one of the 3rd best teams in the eight groups. La Furia Roja in fact could skate all the way to the semifinals of this Summer’s European competition before they actually face a tough and reputable opponent.
