Saturday night will feature a battle between Eastern conference leaders the Philadelphia Union and Western conference leaders the Colorado Rapids. As it stands Colorado boasts the better record, with the west considered the stronger of the two conferences. The game will be played at 9pm EST on May 28th at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

The Rapids are perfect at home this year, fresh off a 1-0 win against the Seattle Sounders. That win brought their undefeated streak to 8 games, while recording 6 wins in that time. Colorado will be without US midfielder Jermaine Jones who will be traveling with the national team in preparation for the upcoming Copa America Centenario.

The Union meanwhile are also on an unbeated streak of their own, after a 2-2 draw against Orlando on Wednesday, which extended the streak to 6 games. Goalkeeper Andre Blake will not be traveling with Jamaica just yet, and has opted to stay for this game before leaving for the Copa.

These teams drew in their last two meetings, both at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester. The first was a dull 0-0 draw while the second was a 3-3 slugfest. In the 8 meetings between Philly and Colorado, the Rapids have taken 3 wins, while Union have recorded only 1, which happened to be in Colorado, where the teams have an even record of 1-1-1.
