Pedro Morales

Got his team leading 5th goal of the season when he scored the game winning goal and added his 3rd assist of the season which is also team leading on the Kekuta Manneh goal to put the Whitecaps up 3-2 after the two big Giovinco’s goals to tie up the game. At a time when the team needed him to step up he was the player that help take over the game.

After having a good game against Chicago on Wednesday last week, he built upon that with his effort this game. With all the games behind them the next week between games will be needed so Morales can rest up and probably take some maintenance days this week in training.

Kekuta Manneh

His best game since last September when he scored the brace against Seattle down at the C-Link. Was all over the pitch creating havoc for Toronto FC defenders from the opening whistle. With a game of 2 goals and an assist he was easily the player of the game for the team. The two goals gave him 20 goals as a pro and moved him into 3rd in Whitecaps FC scoring behind Morales and Camilo.

Had a great move on his second goal to make ex-Whitecap Steven Beitashour look like a pylon. It was a move that was so different from his head down and run at defender move that most defenders know how to stop that he confused Beitashour.

Whitecaps v Houston March 2016-0914

Fraser Aird

Welcome home Aird was the story before the game but by the 76` min it was a scene of him leaving the pitch to a chorus of boo`s from the TFC supporters.

He started off the game pretty well, got up the pitch at will and was pretty sound defensively. But after a weak call on his first yellow and an ugly tackle that earned him the 2nd yellow it was time for him to hit the showers early. Look for Aird to get an additional game suspension after the MLS takes a look at the tackle he earned his 2nd yellow with.

Christian Bolanos

He got his 4th goal in 5 games to put the Whitecaps up 2-0 only 18 minutes into the game. After that he had a game to forget tonight. He had two sloppy passes that lead to counter attacks for Toronto FC and goals for them.

He has played a lot of minutes in the past few weeks and this next week off before Portland next weekend will do him nicely.
