Top 2:

20160312 - Sporting KC v Vancouver Whitecaps-0397

Kianz Froese

Was sat on the bench to start the game for Deybi Flores. After his good performance last week versus Montreal Impact and Robinson saying all week that Kianz was probably going to get the start. Coming on at half time he came in for the ten man Whitecaps and brought a nice pace in the box to box midfield. Himself along with Matias Laba really stepped up in the second half to shut down the middle of the pitch. The future is bright for Kianz and it would be nice to see him keep getting quality MLS minutes even if he makes a mistake or two.

Pedro Morales
20160312 - Sporting KC v Vancouver Whitecaps-0581

He was way more effective this game then he was last game. Had some nice movement up the middle of the pitch when he went to those empty spaces and commanded the ball from his teammates. I really liked the latter part of the game when Carl Robinson brought Blas Perez to play with Octavio Rivero moving Morales back to the deep attacking midfielder role. This role seems to give him more space playing deeper back and gives an easier outlet for the defenders to get him the ball.

Bottom 2:

Vancouver Whitecaps v Montreal-9580

Carl Robinson

I could of put Deybi Flores in the bottom 2 but I believe the fault lies with Robinson. He might think the world of Flores but bottom line he was not ready to start this game. Sure you can’t put all the fault on the skipper but it starts with him picking the starting XI and the game day eighteen. It’s only game two of the season and Robinson will learn from this and hopefully the squad will be stronger moving forward.

Jordan Smith

Absolutely the worst game for Jordan Smith in his MLS career. That is saying a lot after all the stinkers he had last season. Was never in position, chasing all game and he paid for it with a stupid horrible red card. If you thought Fraser Aird was bad in the first half last week, Smith lapped him in the crappy play pool. With a Cascadian clash next week against Seattle Sounders, is Tim Parker the best right-back on the team?
