Starting XI:

Ousted 5.5-
Made a huge mistake on coming out of his net on Impact’s 2nd goal. Made some saves to keep the team in the game but it was a huge mistake.

Aird
Aird 5.0-
Very slow on on his wing all game long. Was either too slow getting back or when he was in position was too aggressive and got beat time and time again.

Waston 6.5-
Seemed to be defensively lagging all game long as well as made way too many over the top passes trying to spring the Whitecaps forwards. Scored a really great goal after missing an earlier opportunity to open his goal scoring account.

Parker 6.5-
Was very sound on defense all game long and never had to make a play that put him out of proper defensive position.

Jordan Harvey Goal
Harvey 7.0-
Very good nose for the net on his first goal at the end of the first half. Jordan Harvey goal machine was in full effect.

Froese 6.5-
Didn’t look out of place at all this game and was very solid in the middle of the pitch. Was a very positive outing for the young Canadian.

Laba 6.0-
Invisible on the pitch for 90% of the game, that’s not something new. Usually when he isn’t mentioned he is racking up the stats, not the case tonight. Have to think the lack of pre-season had a huge factor in the rust he showed.

Bolanos 5.0-
Other then the ned of the game assist on the Waston goal it was a terrible outing for Bolanos. Was way too slow on the wing on offence and defense, also gave up way too easily when he was beaten on the pitch.

Morales & Techera
Morales 6.5-
Made some great passes all over the pitch and set-up the opening goal on a corner to Jordan Harvey. Was very rushed on his shots during the game, could have taken some extra time to get quality chances.

Techera 7.0-
Was the spark plug player to start the game, was all over the pitch creating chances. Was a little gassed to start the 2nd half.

Rivero
Rivero 7.5-
Overall a good game for Rivero, had three glorious this game that he couldn’t find the back of the net with. It was the story of last year all over again.

Subs:

Manneh(60′ min) 7.0-
Was the spark off the bench that the Whitecaps needed in the 2nd half. Was able to get up and down the pitch with ease and create chances.

Perez(65′ min) 6.5-
Settled nicely playing behind Rivero once he came into the game, didn’t have a chance to get involved in much of the offence but was able to be a factor in the midfield.

Kudo(80′ min) 6.0-
Came in late and never really got into the game.
