Following the announcement that the Portland Timbers intend to bring their traditional Victory Log, long a mainstay at Portland’s Providence Park, with them to Columbus, a screenshot similar to this surfaced on Twitter:
Yep. Despite Timbers owner Merritt Paulson’s earlier clarification that the log would stay in the parking lot, the Columbus Crew have officially prohibited chainsaws and “logs of any wooden variety.”
The prohibited items are all in alphabetical order except chainsaws and ‘logs of any wooden variety’ which have been hurriedly added at the top.
Your move, Portland.
