Philadelphia Union vs New England Revolution

  • The Union has not posted a loss in their last 3 Games, winning the match against Montreal Impact last Sunday in Montreal. It was a great game for Sebastien Le Toux as he scored the winning goal and his second goal in the last 2 games and his 4th goal in 5 games
  • With every game meaning a playoff berth the Revolution announced the resigning of goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth whose efforts have kept them in contention and undefeated in their last 4 games.
  • The teams are meeting for the second time this season. The last time they met on April 19th at PPL. Teal Bunbury was the difference between a loss and win. The match was tied in the second half with Bunbury assisting on the tying goal and  then scored the game-winner.
  • Each team has now won each of the last three league meetings between them. The Revolution won 5-3 last May 17 at PPL Park; Union returned the favor with a 3-1 win at Gillette Stadium on June 28
