Radio MLS, Episode 17: The week when U.S. Soccer ruled the world

0

We’re back! Yes Radio MLS is back on Prost Amerika and on iTunes! Sean Maslin (D.C. United beat writer for Prost Amerika, MLS feature writer for BackPage Football, co -editor of MLS Multiplex) and Matt Hoffman (Portland Timbers beat writer for Prost, MLS columnist for MLS Multiplex) are back after a short break. Our two venerable hosts are relaxed, tanned, and have brand-spanking new audio equipment.

So what has gone on since our last show? Hmmm…not a whole lot except the United States Men’s National team beating Germany and the Netherlands, the under-20 squad beating Colombia, the Women’s World Cup kicking off, Gold Cup rosters being announced, the U.S. Open Cup, D.C. United once again gets a new stadium, and the New York Cosmos head to Cuba. Oh, and apparently a bunch of suits at FIFA got ruffled in a holding cell in Washington D.C. Somehow Radio MLS will find something to talk about for this week’s show.

Matt and Sean discuss all of the big headlines going on in the world of soccer plus footballer’s Spotify playlists, the Timbers-Sounders Open Cup match, Bryan Adams, Hope Solo and the possible MLS debut of Fat Ronaldinho.

You can listen to it on iTunes or PodOMatic and feel free to rate our show.  Furthermore, if you have any questions please send them to Sean on Twitter @Seanmaslin or to Matt at @mhoff.
