Bayern Munich Doctor Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt Quits After Argument – (The Guardian)
On Wednesday, April 15th, Portuguese powerhouse FC Porto upset Bavarian giants Bayern Munich 3-1 at the Estadio do Dragão in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Quarter Final. On Thursday Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wolfhart, Bayern’s head doctor resigned along with 3 other members of his staff reportedly regarding blame for the defeat in Portugal.

MLS Week 6 Average Attendance Lowest in 2015 at 18,417 – (Business of Soccer)
MLS week 6 saw some headline eastern conference and western conference matchups, with Seattle Sounders at LA Galaxy, NYCFC at Philadelphia Union as well as a cross-coast matchup with MLS newcomers Orlando City SC traveling to Providence Park. Each one contributing significantly to the week’s attendance figures.

Egypt Court Seeks Death Sentence For 11 in Soccer Stadium Case – (Reuters)
In 2012, deadly riots broke out during a soccer game in a stadium in Port Said Egypt with levels of violence that brought the final death toll above 70 and injuring over 1000. An initial ruling was given in 2013 but it was overturned along with the individual sentencing and a retrial was order.

Head Injuries on the Agenda for FA Experts’ Panel – (The FA)
Head injuries and concussions have been in the spotlight for over a year, especially after the World Cup in Brazil which has resulted in policy changes regarding the handling of head injuries during games. The FA has now asked a number of leading professionals in head injuries to form an independent panel to review guidelines and expertise levels.

Klopp to Quit Borussia Dortmund After Current Season – (Bloomberg)
Jurgen Klopp, following the conclusion of the this season, will bring his Borussia Dortmund tenure to an end. Having brought the club not only to two Bundesliga titles and a German Cup during his time but he also made a Champions League Final. His achievements and capabilities have been lauded by his peers but has no immediate plans for the future yet.

Blackpool Fan, 67, to Pay £20,000 After Oystons Threaten Action Over Online Post – (The Guardian)
A Facebook post from a 67 year old fan of Blackpool football club has spiraled into threats of legal action and ultimately into a settlement payment. The fan, Frank Knight, has only 34 friends on Facebook but has made a public apology for his rant and agreed to pay £20,000 in an effort to avoid legal action.
