Radio MLS, Episode 9: The Rapids open the floodgates

0

On this week’s edition Radio MLS Sean Maslin (D.C. United beat writer for Prost Amerika and MLS feature columnist for BackPage Football) and Matt Hoffman (Portland Timbers beat writer for Prost Amerika) try to make sense of the Colorado Rapids 4-0 thrashing of FC Dallas. Was it a one-time offensive explosion or is it a sign of things to come for the boys in Denver? Our panel discuss.

While Perry Kitchen had a standout performance for D.C. United in the Atlantic Cup derby, the New York Red Bulls once again spoiled the party at RFK Stadium. Matt and Sean talk about the change in personality in the Red Bulls this season and if it will be enough to put them over the top.

Of course the major talking point this week is USA-Mexico. But is this a match that really truly matters? Will a result for either team truly satisfy their rabid supporters?

All of that plus at least 3-4 Simpsons references and Matt gives the long-awaited answer to his trivia question from Episode 5. So enjoy and of course make sure that you subscribe to our podcast on iTunes.
