Vancouver Whitecaps player ratings versus Portland Timbers

Ousted 9.5
Five huge saves that not only kept the score tied late in the game but also gave the Whitecaps the opportunity to win the game. Most underrated keeper in MLS.
Beitashour 5.5
Continues to get beat down the wing by fast wingers game in and game out.
Waston 7.5
Got a silly yellow card in the 87th minute. Other than that was solid clearing away balls in the box and dominated corners into the box.
Kah 6.5
Played with edge and stepped up when Sam Adekugbe was pushed over the advertising signs. Looked good after being off last week.
Adekugbe 7.5
Third good game in a row, Whitecaps are 3-0-0 with him starting. Looks like he has cemented himself as a full time MLS starter.
Laba 7.0
Struggled at times but stepped up when he needed to. Game in and game out one of the best defensive-midfielders in MLS.
Koffie 5.5
Silly fouls, silly tackles and struggled defensively in the midfield. Teibert will start over him next week and Deybi Flores is nipping at his heels to be the back up.
Mezquida 7.0
Great free kick on the opening goal. Perfect placement in the bottom left corner to give the Whitecaps the lead.
Morales 7.0
Amazing pass to Robert Earnshaw to set up the game winner. Threaded the needle in between the two Portland defenders. Had a few chances that he missed but overall a great game from Pedro.
Hurtado 5.5
Had two decent crosses into the box but no one was on the end of them. Didn’t do enough to displace Kekuta Manneh as the starter.
Rivero 7.0
Was very active all game long. Held the ball up nice and was always running at defenders to pressure them into turning over the ball.
Substitutes:
Froese 6.5
Becoming a solid option off the bench for Carl Robinson. The Whitecaps don’t lose anything by bringing him off the bench.
Flores 7.5
Had great chances to show off his amazing speed. Robinson had been high on him all week and Flores showed why. Still very young and raw but has a bright future.
Earnshaw 7.5
He can score when he wants to and he showed why. A great ability to find the perfect pocket to run into so he is free when he gets the ball. Will be a very important piece off the bench for this team.
Not a bad time to put yourself in the Whitecaps supporters good books. Clinical finisher.
