Seattle Sounders FC 2 met Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2, the first Cascadia derby USL has hosted since 2010. The match was also the inaugural one for the Thundercaps.

Craven went from provider to goal scorer on 26 minutes. Following a Seattle corner, centerback Damion Lowe curled a shot from 25 yards out. It struck the inside of the right post, and Craven was there to head home the rebound into an empty net.

It was 3-0 Seattle on 37 minutes. Andy Craven switched for Darwin Jones, who chested the ball down as he ran into the 18. He held off his defender and smacked a half volley past Paolo Tornaghi.

Darwin Jones completed his hat trick on 50 minutes, cleaning up a deflected  Andy Craven cross from the right wing.  The forward subbed off to a standing ovation, earning man of the match honors.

The match settled after Seattle's fourth goal, and chances were hard to come by in the last 40 minutes.

Vancouver started to get a foothold on the hour mark, but couldn't turn any possession into chances. The match ended, a resounding 4-0 win for S2.

S2 moves to 2-0, while WFC2 sits at 0-1. S2 next takes on rivals Portland in Tukwila, while the Thundercaps play away in Austin on Tuesday.
