Columbus Crew SC Player ratings

A sub par night for The Crew SC as a unit. They completed 403 passes, 24 less than their 427.5 game average and 13.07 % below their 84.07 % passing accuracy. For a possession oriented team it hurts.

Clark 7: Solid as always. He guessed correct on the penalty kick but it was perfectly executed by Bradley Wright Phillips. In the second goal, he couldn’t do anything when Grella chipped the ball.

Grana 7.5: if the Argentine keeps playing in the way he does, he’s on pace to become the best right back in the League. Every time he goes forward is aware of the spaces he leaves behind and returns on time to his defensive duties. Doesn’t compromise the play and he manages himself to get out pressure smoothly.

Parkhurst 6: The Captain paired with Pogatetz in an acceptable level, butt then like the rest of the tam, lost focus and was hesitant at times.

Pogatetz 6.5 Won everything in the air, anticipated well and did not let Wright -Phillips get close to Steve Clark. Theonly time he was late was on the play that led to the penalty kick.

Klute 6 in his debut on the left flank, the former Colorado rapids performed according to the standards. He is not as fast as Waylon Francis but he reached the final third effectively. But he gave Chris Duvall too much freedom.

Saeid 5. He was not effective as the last game, he struggled with the pressure New York put on the midfield.

Tchani 7. He returned after a one game suspension and scored the only goal for his team. He maintained his composure and stepped into the final third often, his passing accuracy was above the rest of his teammates.

Steindorsson 6 New York imposed their physicality on him and the Iceman couldn’t handle it, he was soft and lacked aggressiveness in the final third, he was replaced for Héctor Jiménez.

Pipa 7 He fought, he ran, he shot but he couldn’t score. He played on high gear until the frustration took the best of him and was ejected from the game.

Finlay 5.5 The speedster is trying to find the back of the net but his shots don’t have the poise and sometime the power to cause damage.

Kamara 6.5 For some reason, he traded places with Higuaín, he was playing wide and the Argentine was inside the box. But when it was his turn to get close to Robles he was dangerous, but the Red Bull’s goalie had a great night.
