What it was a hardly a secret anymore, is finally official. Gastón “La Gata” Fernández will stay one more season. As he had said already to a ProstAmerika exclusive interview last October, he was happy in Portland and was already expecting and may have already existed an agreement on his stay. Now, unless, Caleb Porter decides to surprise us with some cutting edge tactic or the news of a new DP coming to Portland in that position, Gastón will have the opportunity to lead the attack in the opener vs Real Salt Lake on March 7th, while Diego Valeri nears his match fitness after his knee injury.
