The 107IST announced this week a $50,000 donation to Operation Pitch Invasion, completing the funding for Bless Field.

Named for longtime Timbers Army member Howie Bless, the youth-sized, all-weather pitch will be located in the New Columbia neighborhood of North Portland, home to an estimated 1,200 kids from 22 different countries.

When the project was announced, it was estimated it would take $200,000 to get it off the ground. Through partnerships with the Timbers and Thorns, Providence, adidas and Widmer Brothers, full funding was achieved in just under a year.

Tyler Segel of the Timbers Army and organizer of the Art Takeover will present the check before the March 16th Timbers-Fire match.
