Green Douglas fir where the waters cut through
There was probably little reason to give this story much of a glance bar the fact that it is for a very good environmental cause and to not pass up a rare chance to use the headline.
This coming Friday, February 8th, Sounders FC players and some old time astronaut rugby folk will be planting trees at a location behind the South Seattle Community College.
The Nature Consortium received the trees through the Forterra C3 grant for which the Sounders FC and Seahawks are founding partners.
Nature Consortium is a community based non-profit organization committed to connecting people, arts, and nature through our Urban Forest Restoration program, Youth Art Program by reducing our carbon footprint.
The Sounders players will be arriving at 2pm along with some Seahawks players who our cameraman will hopefully label for us. The event starts at midday.
