Portland Timbers FC have announced details of their try-outs for their Under 23 side.

The trials are open to players 17 years of age and older. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present at the tryout.

As in previous years, the registration fee is $125, $75 more than the fee in Seattle which seems certain to induce some decent fan banter.

The club states that all participants must bring their own soccer equipment, including appropriate shoes (turf, jogging, cleats, etc.), shin guards and other soccer apparel dependent upon weather.

Interested players can register online at http://registration.portlandtimbers.com; and space is limited. Additional information regarding the tryout can be found at www.portlandtimbers.com.
