Barca Coach has Cancer Relapse


Soccer’s battle against cancer is taking place in its highest profile place ever following an announcement from Barcelona.

BarcaThey confirmed that head coach Tito Vilanova is once more confronting a tumour in a gland in his upper throat.

He had it initially removed 13 months ago.

Barcelona lead La Liga with 15 wins and a draw but will have to defend that lead with an interim manager.

Vilanova is just 44. He will have surgery on the gland on Thursday and undergo 6 weeks of chemotherapy
