We have nothing to offer but blood, sweat and tears

Before the kick off in Seattle last Sunday, the Sounders assembled in their customary pre match huddle.

No-one outside the squad knows exactly what was said, but we do know who was saying it. Brandon Bleek bravely inched in and caught Sounders longest serving and scariest warrior Zach Scott bellowing out the last minute exhortations with every sinew of his face stretched.

Bleek caught Scott’s jaw fully down as he raised his words to their full volume to be heard over the 44,000 plus crowd.

  1. I heard some of it over the national broadcast? Or maybe I was lip reading! :) I will go back to see if I can find footage.

    • Don’t you think the Sounders have had enough of lip readers for one season? ;-)

  2. Ok. If I recall, they showed the footage during halftime. So if anyone has the halftime time show?

  3. Yes, ESPN showed Zach Scott’s pre-game talk on the halftime show. It involved his grandmother and leaving it all on the field.

    As of late Sunday night or early Monday morning, the whole game including the halftime show was available via WatchESPN.
