If a Cascadia Derby Takes Place in the Desert, Will it Still Rain?


Portland will play Colorado in pre-season

Portland Timbers and Sounders FC will meet on February 5th in a preseason friendly in Arizona.

The Timbers will play two other MLS opponents in their 2013 season preparations.

Colorado Rapids and Sporting Kansas City will join the Cascadian sides in Tucson, Arizona in January and February. Hosts FC Tuscon of the PDL will also provide opposition. The Timbers squad will re-assemble on January 19th in Portland and head to Arizona eight days later for their four matches.

Further details regarding the Timbers’ 2013 preseason schedule will be announced at a later date. Sounders are yet to announce their full schedule but the Rapids are still to unveil their February 2nd opponent.

San Jose Earthquakes, Houston Dynamo and the New England Revolution will also be in Arizona in the 2013 pre-season.
