Kate Deines and Veronica Perez have helped their new team Stjarnan win the Bikarkeppni kvenna, the Icelandic equivalent of the Open Cup.

The side were beaten finalists in 2010 but won the cup this season with a 1–0 win over Valur.

Valur were seeking their 14th triumph but thanks to the two ex-Sounders, Stjarnan were able to hoist the trophy for the very first time.
