Real Salt Lake looks to bounce back into form after three painful losses in a row when they host FC Dallas on Saturday August 18th at 7PM MDT.

Don’t let the standings fool you; FC Dallas is coming into this match hungry. Only eight points out of the last playoff spot in the Western Conference currently held by the Vancouver Whitecaps.  In addition to the motivation of the playoffs, FC Dallas is fresh off the heels of two quality victories.  Those wins could very well give them the confidence they need to stay in form against a struggling Real Salt Lake.

RSL is currently in the middle of a run of bad form, losing their last three matches in all competitions including an especially painful loss to Heridiano of Costa Rica in the CONCACAF Champion’s League.

Add to that, complications of having key players Will Johnson, Nick Rimando, Alvaro Saborio and team captain Kyle Beckerman on short rest from national team duty.   With all those things weighing heavy on RealSaltLakethey are still a team capable of playing the “beautiful game”.  However, RSL will have to play at their best to be able to get the result they want and end their current run of bad form.

Real Salt Lake’s Key to the Game:  Lately, Real Salt Lake has had a very real problem dictating the pace of the game and it has cost them dearly over the last few weeks.  If RSL is going to hope to win this game they are going to need to possess the ball, and play with a sense of urgency.
