The Radio Sounders Show commemorates Sounders FC’s US Open Cup Final win with a special show for the third year running. On the show you can hear the thoughts of Sigi Schmid, Frank Klopas, Kaseyy Keller, Fredy Montero, Jeff Parke, Brad Evans, Osvaldo Alonso, Jason Ross and Adrian Hanauer.

Highlights include the audio of a happy German-American being drenched in champagne, Kasey Keller mulling over beating up mascots to celebrate winning trophies, Jeff Parke having his shorts pulled down (it’s great radio), Brad Evans being remarkably placid, Frank Klopas being very gracious in defeat, Osvaldo Alonso being interviewed bilingually and talking about his goal, Sounders fan Jason Ross quoting the US Constitution and Adrian Hanauer explaining why he wasn’t running around screaming this time unlike 2009.

Relive the night with all the interviews and some gratuitous comment thrown in.

If you’re feeling really nostalgic, listen to the 2009 show recorded in the Sounders locker room in Washington DC and last year’s special.

The 2009 show was still one of the best RS shows ever.

  1. How many of these insiders would defend Brad Evans if they didn’t know him and Sigi? It’s insulting these, ‘you just don’t understand how good he really is’ defensive comments from Sigi re: Jaqua and Evans.

That is a fairly widely held view Shawn, but I’m afraid I buck that trend. I do not know Brad and have never conversed with him outside post game interviews. Yet, I still see the very valuable things he does on the pitch. True he can’t finish, but for a guy who can’t finish, he has a decent goals per minute ratio. I suggest you ask Pavel Pardo how good Brad is. Of course, they could be mates!
