Vancouver 3 : 3 Sporting Kansas
Caps v Kansas Match Photos Here
All three Cascadia clubs are in action today. Michael McColl will be at Empire field to see Vancouver Whitecaps play Sporting Kansas City which kicks off at 4pm.
The Caps aim to bounce back from last week’s 1-0 loss in Philadelphia. They will be without the suspended Designated Player Eric Hassli, though Kansas are without Omar Bravo. Camillo Sanvezzo replaces Hassli. Worst news may be that a groin injury keeps Jay DeMerit out of the game. Blake Wagner joins the staring line up, with Greg Janicki making it a back five..
Whitecaps are also without Russell Teibert (Canada U-20)and Omar Salgado (USA U-20).
Jay Nolly is back in goal for the Whitecaps. Teal Bunbury replaces Omar Bravo for Kansas and will have to face Canadian opinion on his choice to play for the USA instead of Canada.
New England 1 : 1 Portland Timbers
Half an hour later, Portland Timbers seek their second consecutive win, but their first in MLS ever, on the road in New England. Chris Ballard will be at Gillette Field reporting for us on his maiden Prost Amerika assignment.
James Marcelin has replaced Peter Lowry in midfield. Khalif Alhassan plays left midfield and David Horst slots in at centre half.
