Mini Update from Sounders Training

Good Bars to Watch Soccer in Seattle

From the Press Office:

“Grande Sports World in Casa Grande, Arizona. Day Three of the second phase of Sounders FC training camp saw a lightened load in the conditioning realm, but that didn’t keep things from getting competitive.

The team was split into nine groups of three and played a spirited, close-quarters, nine-man passing game. They played two sessions of the timed drill, and the losing teams from each session had to do pushups.

Next the game expanded in size and included all 27 players with the focus looking to be on movement and ball control in tight spaces while keeping things competitive.

Nate Jaqua and Eddie Johnson were the only players on the sidelines.

The evening session will consist of weight training at Grande Sports World’s training facility.”

No information was supplied as to why Johnson and Jaqua weren’t playing.

Isn’t Jaqua injured? I thought Matt G posted he had or is suffering from Osteitis Pubis. Sounds painful.
