Don Garber, Kasey Keller, Drew Carey Join Jeremy St Louis as Huge MLS Weekend Takes Shape

The calendar of events surrounding November 22nd’s MLS Cup final is beginning to take shape. Supporters, media celebrities and top MLS Officials are among those set to travel to Seattle to enjoy a schedule of events, both serious and social. Highlights include the visit of out of town celebrities such as MLS Commissioner Don Garber and FSC’s Jeremy St Louis.

Dave Clark, Supporters Summit Coordinator was very enthusiastic about the variety and prestige of the events preceding the match.

“This is a summit that represents the unique community that we have here in Seattle.  A community that has supported the Sounders in an amazing fashion and now has the opportunity to host a Cup Final for the entire nation. Having a unique urban situation we created a set of events that are of interest to fans around the league, as well as aiding in charities from Seattle to Bolivia. The Supporters Summit is a great way to demonstrate the partnership that Seattle has between club, supporter, fan, media and city. We have the opportunity to continue to grow the sport in Seattle, in the Pacific Northwest and ultimately through out the two nations in our league.”

2009 Supporters Summit at Qwest Field’s West Club Lounge

MLS Commissioner Don Garber will speak on the state of the league. Drew Carey will be moderating a Q&A with questions from the fans for the Commissioner. Officiating and technical discussion panel with Joe Machnick and Alfonso Mondelo

Prost Amerika’s Sounders End of Year Party

Fox Soccer Channel’s favourite Canadian Jeremy St Louis, FIFA’s Sandy Hunt and Sounders FC’s Pete Fewing highlight the guests answering your questions at a soccer Q&A. Free food is provided by Seattle’s famous Uli’s Sausages. Cabaret style entertainment will be there courtesy of star of NBC’s America’s Got Talent, Manuela Horn.

The event runs from 3pm to 6pm and takes place atthe Baltic Room, 1207 Pine St, in Seattle’s historic Capital Hill  district. Buy tickets here. $13 in advance, $20 on the day

Pioneer Pub Crawl hosted by the Sounder Supporter Groups

Pub crawl the soccer-friendly establishments in and around Qwest Field and continue the day’s discussions with fellow supporters while enjoying local drink/food specials. Fado, Fuel, Elysian Fields, Swannies and F.X. McRory’s. Silent Auction with Autographed MLS items and more, to benefit Seattle Children’s Hospital. Special guest Kasey Keller will be attending.

FIFA 2010 Tournament Hosted By Gorilla FC

“Gorilla FC wants to bring some money and awareness to the Victims of Black October in Bolivia. The people of Bolivia endured years of oppression under Goni (former President Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada Sánchez Bustamante) and now it’s time for justice for Bolivians. Today the courts in Miami rejected Goni’s appeal to be pardoned of any charges since he was the president at the time.
Gorilla continues to support causes that are important to members of our community. Gorilla has supported local charities, as well as efforts in Africa, South America and Asia. As well as supporting the Sounders, this is the cornerstone of Gorilla FC!”
