FIFA Sponsor Sounders Meet up Group

In another move that serves as witness to the increasing global profile of Sounders FC and Seattle soccer in general, football’s world governing body, FIFA has recognised and attached its approval to the Sounders FC Meet up Group.

The Sounders FC Meet up Group organises viewing parties for all Sounders FC’s away games at family friendly venues which allow and welcome children.

The FIFA statement received by the group read, “FIFA.com would like to acknowledge and support Meetups that are making positive impacts in their communities and are ambassadors for the beautiful game around the USA.”

Membership of the Meet up Group is free and there is never a cover charge at viewing parties, and alcohol is always freely available. To join the Sounders FC Meet up Group, click on the red Meet up logo in the right hand menu bar and sign up, or click on this link. The FIFA deal promises group members FIFA goodies. Michel Platini’s expense account would do nicely.

The viewing party for Saturday’s game against Real Salt Lake will be at Azzurri Vino Bar, 223 36th Street, Fremont, Seattle. Kick off is 6pm.
