Referee Kermit Quisenberry

In a late breaking and relatively unusual development, Sounders FC and Portland Timbers are both determined to wear green for the clash tomorrow. Portland have worn black kits for all of the cup games so far, including their win in Kitsap.

Sounders FC do have a blue change kit but it hasn’t been seen so far although the blue shorts have. It now seems that a certain amount of machismo has been invested in who doesn’t get to wear green. This feels like a cup tie between two local rivals playing in different divisions. It’s good to know the pettiness has extended up to the top. We’re in total support. Let’s show the rest of the country that this is the rivalry to end all US soccer rivalries. We encourage both clubs to stick to their guns on this.

I love the Sounders. They should always win. It brings into question, what are the MLS Club priorities?
