Toronto Give up Six, Sounders Just Marshall for Gold Cup
Preliminary Squads for the Gold Cup Released

The 12 participating countries have released their initial selection for the CONCACAF Gold Cup which takes place from July 3rd to July 26th. The players selected for the final squads will be unavailable for their MLS sides during their country’s participation.
Toronto FC are the worst affected with six players selected, five Canadians and Marvell Wynne for the USA. Four Colorado Rapids players have been called up, Conor Casey (USA), Steward Ceus (Haiti), Omar Cummings (Jamaica) and Pablo Mastroeni (USA).
Tyrone Marshall is the only Sounder affected, and will join up with Cummings, Shavar Thomas (Chivas USA), Donovan Ricketts (LA Galaxy), and Dane Richards (New York Red Bulls) with the “Reggae Boyz”.
Below is the list of 32 MLS Players that have been named to the preliminary rosters for their respective nations. 14 clubs in total are affected.
