nes-logoBand Set to Play from Hawk’s Nest

June 7

Sounders FC’s resident brass band, Sound Wave are on the move again. The band had been playing from the Brougham End at the start of the season until repeated protests from those around the area, who are trying to generate their own atmosphere, finally convinced the club to move the Band. For the last two games, they have been stationed to the left of the North End Supporters but because of the jutting out of that stand, some band members were unable to see the game. Now they are to be stationed behind the North End Supporters, rather than to their left.

Joe Thomas, Leader of the North End Supporters told us, “I like the move, as that was where I wanted them all along when the Front Office first approached me about their move from the south to north.”

There is to be greater cooperation between the band and the fans’ group and four of the leaders of the North End Supporters group are going to their practice this Thursday to share information about chants and songs.

  1. The North End atmosphere sucks. People are too busy eating their free food than standing and singing. I feel like the only one who knows any of the ECS songs and chants. We’re just a bunch of posers.
