Easier than Anticipated Away Wins for Title Challengers
March 7
Manchester United were 4-0 victors over Fulham at Craven Cottage and Chelsea 2-0 conquerors in Coventry yesterday, as the favourites emerged unscathed from the 6th Round FA Cup ties.
United were under the cosh for the first 20 minutes with Fulham causing them problems down the right flank. A Carlos Tevez goal against the run of play in the 20th minute changed all that however, and United never looked back against an easily dispirited Fulham
Chelsea won 2-0 at the Ricoh Arena with goals from Didier Drogba and Alex sealing the win.
In the day’s only league game, Sunderland and Spurs drew 1-1 to ease the relegation worries of neither.
Sunday sees Arsenal entertain Burnley in a delayed 5th round tie while Middlesbrough visit Everton in the 6th round. Results will be posted in the evening to give West Coast residents a chance to watch.
The Champions League restarts on Tuesday with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all in action
